Master the Family Board Game: Rules, Strategies & Guides
Welcome to the official Family Board Game portal—a modern, strategic evolution of classic cross-and-circle board games like Chaupar, Pachisi, and Ludo. Built for family game nights, local pass-and-play, and real-time online multiplayer, our game features a dynamic 5x5 matrix grid, custom board themes, capture mechanics, and turn-based tactical gameplay.
Complete Game Overview & Objective
Each player commands a team of 4 colored tokens (Red, Green, Blue, or Yellow). The primary objective is to move all 4 of your coins along your color-coded path channels from your starting corner home base into the central destination gem altar. The first player to safely navigate all 4 tokens home wins the match!
🎲 Rolling & Movement
Players take turns rolling the 6-sided die. Roll a 6 to enter new tokens onto the active track or take extra bonus turns. Precise count is required to reach the center home destination.
⚔️ Capturing & Knockouts
Landing on an exact tile occupied by an opponent's token captures their coin, knocking it back to their starting base and earning you an immediate bonus dice roll.
🛡️ Safe Tiles & Home Altars
Marked home altars and star tiles serve as safe zones where coins cannot be captured. Use safe tiles strategically to shelter your tokens while waiting for high-value rolls.
Advanced Winning Strategies
- Token Propagation: Avoid advancing a single coin all the way to the end while leaving three coins trapped at home. Distribute tokens evenly to create defensive blocks and expand capture opportunities.
- Choke Point Control: Position your coins on safe tiles near central intersection paths to threaten opponent coins as they exit their home channels.
- Risk & Distance Calculation: When an opponent's coin is 1 to 6 tiles behind you, calculate the probability of being captured before moving out of a safe zone.
